Deformation monitoring on wind turbine blades at the Lacedonia wind farm

SuperMicron system on the blades at the Lacedonia wind farm to measure stresses under real operating conditions, as part of ERG’s reblading project.

At the Lacedonia wind farm, as part of the reblading project carried out by ERG, the SuperMicron structural monitoring system was used to monitor the blades. The system was installed to measure structural stresses under real operating conditions, enabling continuous data acquisition whilst the plant was in operation. The information gathered provided objective feedback on the behaviour of the new blades, supporting the validation of the reblading project and the verification of structural performance.

The system enabled an objective assessment of the structural performance and reliability of the blades over time, following the reblading work.
