The InSentinel system was installed in November 2022 at the Rota Greca (CS) site, an area affected by a landslide in January 2021 which had also impacted the residential area. Following the event, the assessment of the habitability of the homes was contingent upon the implementation of continuous ground monitoring. In this context, InSentinel was used to monitor the evolution of landslide movements over time at various depths. The monitoring provided essential support to the relevant authorities in safety management and in decisions regarding the return of residents.
The system was installed following ground restoration works, in compliance with the monitoring requirement necessary to verify the habitability of homes located downstream of the landslide slope, ensuring continuous monitoring of stability conditions.
