At Nupi S.p.A., characterisation tests were carried out on polyethylene and polypropylene pipes, monitoring the mechanical behaviour of pipes with diameters ranging from 100 to 250 mm through the installation of Ducto sensors. The measurements confirmed an accurate reading of pressure in relation to pipe deformation, highlighting the reliability of the monitoring system. The tests also demonstrated the successful bonding of the sensors, achieved through the use of specific adhesives, ensuring the stability and quality of the measurements over time.
The work carried out validated the effectiveness of the measurement system, demonstrating its ability to provide stable data that accurately reflects the structural behaviour of the pipes over time.
